About the Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your strong stakeholder engagement skills to work collaboratively across HMRI to manage important operational and strategic projects. Working with teams across the organisation, as well as key partners including Hunter New England Health and the University of Newcastle, you will work collaboratively to track and report on milestones for an array of projects.

Reporting to the Chief of Partnerships and Development, and working with a dedicated team, this role supports the Partnerships and Development unit in the design, delivery and day-to-day administration of HMRI’s research grants and other funding. We are seeking a person with the proven ability to communicate with a range of key partners, who is organised and methodical in their approach to project administration and someone who can influence and drive optimal outcomes.

With an eye for process improvement, you will use your coordination skills to deliver the required support and information for the executive team, and act as a trusted and systematic source of information for the tracking of key projects. Proven relationship management and communication skills are critical to the success of this role.

Key Requirements

  • Provide project support, and where delegated, lead the implementation of strategic, operational, and continuous improvement projects across HMRI.

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams including Grants Compliance, Philanthropy, Grants Development, Business Development, Finance and Marketing and foster and manage collaborative relationships with key external stakeholders.

  • Undertake administration of specific projects and support the development of relevant projects including but not limited to project planning, resource management, communication, risk management, documentation, monitoring and evaluation and compliance of projects.
