About the company

Our client MB Engineering Solutions is a Newcastle-based leader in engineering design, supply, and overhaul solutions. We are seeking a skilled Administration Coordinator to support their growing team. This position will enable you to grow your skillset and develop within a tight-knit team.

About the opportunity

This role is perfect for a junior administrator or someone early in their administrative career with 1–2 years of experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential. As an Administration Coordinator, you’ll provide generalist administrative support, assist with cost analysis and quotes, and help ensure smooth operations across the team. This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for someone eager to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing emails and data entry.

  • Completing general administrative duties to support the senior administrator.

  • Analysing costs for product repairs and preparing detailed reports in Excel.

  • Compiling and sending quotes for approval.

  • Supporting other administrative functions during busy periods or staff absences.

  • Handling purchasing for projects and other admin tasks as required.

About you

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (intermediate skills in Excel are highly regarded).

  • Curiosity about machinery and how things work—though prior heavy industry experience is not essential.

  • Adaptability, self-motivation and eagerness to learn.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong multitasking and workload prioritisation abilities.

  • The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment.
