About the Opportunity
Our client is a global leader in underground Electrical and Communications solutions for the Mining and Tunnelling Industry. They have global reach with officers all around the world and their Australian head office based here at their Thornton location. With a people-centric focus and champion a safety-first culture our client is a leader in shaping underground technology.
We are seeking a skilled Administrator to join our client’s team of professionals acting as a valued support staff member with the opportunity to grow into an essential position and progress your career. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the Sales and Projects team in maintaining seamless operations by utilising your initiative, high level of attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills. Learn the role and become a center of operational knowledge for our team.
Key Responsibilities
Be an excellent representative of the organisation when handling inbound customer inquiries.
Maintain accurate and complete records.
Assist the sales and project team with operational administrative tasks, such as order processing, invoicing, and report preparation, project coordination and document control.
Coordinate sales meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for the sales team to optimise efficiency.
Support the sales team in the preparation of sales presentations, proposals, tender submissions and contracts.
Support and maintain inventory levels and actively contribute to forecasting sales volumes for effective planning.
About You
The ideal candidate will be:
An organised professional person with a high level of attention to detail and a strong ability to multitask
Have strong capability in Microsoft suite as well as quickly adapting to our database systems
Collaborative working style, comfortable connecting between departments
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
Have strong written and verbal communication
Proactive approach with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and take initiative.
Natural troubleshooting abilities with confident decision-making skills.
Highly detail-oriented, ensuring all office documentation is presented to a high standard.
Candidates with experience within a similar industry will be highly regarded.
