About the opportunity
As they continue to grow, they are looking for a dynamic and motivated Assistant Accountant to join their team. If you’re ready to take the next step in your accounting career and want to work in a role where no two days are the same, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
This opportunity will see you play a vital role in supporting the Accounting Manager across part of the Australia/Asia Pacific team. This varied role will allow you to expand your commercial experience while contributing to the success of Scenic Tours!
Key Responsibilities:
Continuous improvement in financial processes and procedures
Assist in year-end audit process
Extensive utilisation of Microsoft Excel for advanced data sorting, configuration, and reconciliation tasks
Support end-of-month accounting processes, including general and ledger reconciliations.
Collaborate with the Finance Team to resolve actions arising from internal and external audits.
Contribute to maintenance and business improvement tasks, including finance system upgrades and payroll system enhancements.
Undertake ad-hoc tasks and projects as requested by GM Finance Asia Pacific, Accounting Manager, Management Accountant and Financial Accountant
About you
We are looking for a dynamic accountant professional with at least 2 years of experience who is eager to progress their career in a rapidly growing company. This role is ideal for someone currently in a chartered accounting firm who is keen to transition into a commercial accounting environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Undergraduate degree in Commerce or Accounting.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and business improvement.
