UNE Life Pty Ltd, a dynamic and wholly owned subsidiary of the University of New England (UNE), is seeking a transformative Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its diverse portfolio of services, enhance the student and community experience, and shape the future of their organisation with a growth mindset.
About UNE Life
UNE Life Pty Ltd is a not-for-profit entity with a mission to deliver exceptional services that enrich the UNE experience for students, staff, and the broader community. Guided by their core values of honesty, respect, teamwork, and continuous improvement, UNE Life operates a range of business units, including co-curricular services, hospitality ad commercial services, Sport UNE, Safety security & information, and the UNE Life Health medical centre.
The opportunity
As CEO, you will report to the UNE Life Board and lead the executive team to deliver the company’s strategic and financial objectives. You will lead UNE Life’s mission to become a self-sustaining entity while maintaining outstanding service delivery. Your role will involve driving innovation, fostering a strong organisational culture, and building profitable partnerships that support the long-term success of UNE Life.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide visionary leadership, aligning UNE Life’s strategy with UNE’s broader mission.
Drive growth, innovation, and financial sustainability across all business units.
Build a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement.
Ensure operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and competitive service offerings.
Uphold governance and compliance standards while maintaining transparency with the Board.
Engage with diverse stakeholders, including the university, local community, and external partners, to enhance UNE Life’s reputation and impact.
About you
We are seeking a leader with exceptional strategic acumen, operational expertise, and the ability to inspire teams to achieve outstanding results.
Key Selection Criteria:
Extensive executive experience, ideally as a CEO or senior leader.
Proven success in driving revenue growth, market expansion, and operational efficiency.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong financial management expertise, including budgeting, forecasting, and risk mitigation.
A track record of fostering innovation and leading change in dynamic environments.
Commitment to ethical practices, diversity, and corporate social responsibility.
Advanced qualifications in business or a related field (preferred).
