About the Role

As the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the design, development, and delivery of high-quality equipment tailored for the mining and tunnelling industries. You will lead a dedicated team of engineers, ensuring project outcomes are achieved efficiently and in line with commercial objectives. This role requires someone who thrives in dynamic environments and can quickly adapt to changing circumstances. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers to deliver bespoke equipment designs, meeting client needs and market demands.

  • Oversee project planning, execution, and completion to ensure alignment with agreed timeframes and cost constraints.

  • Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality assurance teams to enhance product development processes.

  • Promote a strong safety culture across the business, supporting safety initiatives and driving compliance with safety standards.

  • Maintain high project quality, ensuring engineering outputs meet regulatory and client expectations.

  • Manage customer interactions during the project development phase, ensuring variations are captured and addressed.

  • Sign off on designs and provide technical advice throughout the design process to support project success.

  • Manage engineering change processes and document control across the business.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Proven experience in engineering management within the mining, tunnelling, or heavy equipment industries.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience developing high-performing engineering teams.

  • Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.

  • You thrive in fast-paced environments and can adapt to change easily, understanding that processes and structures evolve as the business perfects its foundations.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
