About the role

This position will provide exceptional leadership and support to the Aged Care team to ensure the highest quality of person-centered in-home care is delivered. They will manage day-to-day operations to ensure the smooth running of Mosaic’s Aged Care programs and that they meet financial outcomes with a focus on best practice. The Manager Aged Care will ensure the delivery of a strength based and customer centric approach to enhance the wellbeing and quality of life for each client whilst encouraging independence, empowerment, enablement, autonomy, and dignity.

Other duties include:

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with program-specific policies, procedures, Aged Care Quality standards

  • Monitor service performance and outcomes with a continuous improvement mindset to identify, correct and improve internal service performance issues to ensure quality outcomes

  • Work closely with Mosaic’s Workforce Development Lead to recruit, train, mentor and support all Aged Care team members to deliver culturally responsive and appropriate services

  • Actively participate in events, networking and awareness campaigns to promote Mosaic and the work of the Aged Care team

  • Liaise with funding bodies, participate in negotiation of service agreements and ensure that performance targets are met

  • Contribute to the preparation of budgets, maintain accountability for working within these budgets and implement corrective action as required 

About you

We are looking for a committed and contemporary leader who thrives in a fast paced operational management role. You will be an effective mentor and coach with proven success in developing a team. The successful candidate will be passionate about the sector and improving the lives of their clients.

Other skills and experience we are seeking include:

  • Registered or Enrolled Nurse with current AHPRA registration with experience in the Aged Care industry (ideally in home Aged Care) with sound knowledge of relevant legislation and quality standards

  • Cultural competence with genuine empathy and interest in working in a multicultural workplace, experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD communities) highly desirable

  • Demonstrated proficiency in financial management and strategic decision making

  • Minimum 3+ years of leadership and operational management experience in a similar service, Not-For-Profit sector experience desirable

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and administrative skills including delivering on reporting requirements and working to deadlines

  • A continuous improvement mindset with experience improving systems, processes, and procedures to positively impact service delivery
