Position Type: Part-time (3 days per week: Monday, Thursday, Friday)
Hours: 7.5 hours per day, flexible hours between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Casual Hourly Rate: $45.28 per hour + Super
About Hunter Pain Specialists
Our client, Hunter Pain Specialists, has been operating since 1999 and is Australia’s leading and most experienced Private Pain Management Clinic. They use a multidisciplinary approach to treat patients suffering from persistent chronic pain, both cancer and non-cancer-related.
Located in Broadmeadow, Newcastle, Australia, Hunter Pain Specialists treats over 6,000 patients annually, making it the busiest pain clinic in Australia. We are recruiting on their behalf for a dedicated Medical Typist to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately transcribe medical information, referrals, and other documents.
Process and send documents to the workers' compensation department for approval when applicable.
Manage high volumes of typing and documentation while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Key Requirements:
Previous experience as a Medical Typist or in a similar role is ideal.
A good understanding of medical terminology and knowledge of medical documents.
Experience using Gentu and Medical Objects software is highly desirable
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling sensitive medical information.
Exceptional cooperation skills and the ability to work closely with doctors and other team members
