They are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll & Finance Specialist to join their dynamic team.

Position overview

As a Payroll & Finance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing payroll processes and supporting the financial operations. This part-time position offers flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to the financial health of the organisation while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for all staff members accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies.

  • Training new employees in the use of the online payroll system

  • Maintain employee records and ensure all payroll data is up to date.

  • Assist Financial Controller as required with financial reporting

  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections as required.

  • Collaborate with external auditors and assist with audit preparations as needed.

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and financial matters.

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of financial processes and systems.

Experience and qualifications

  • Proven experience in payroll processing and financial management.

  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements.

  • Proficient in accounting software Xero and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Cert IV in Accounting or higher qualification essential

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
