The company exports its high-performance longwall mining equipment to all major mining markets worldwide. With the capability for research, develop, design, manufacture, and test longwall mining equipment inhouse, our client’s products and systems are produced to the highest standards and compliant to international regulatory requirements. In addition to machine manufacturing, our client manufactures high-quality OE parts and provides world-class support services for their equipment.
About the Opportunity
Join a global leader providing leading solutions within the long wall underground mining industry. This position is an integral role, responsible for implementing and overseeing the quality assurance processes that ensure deliverables meet all standards. This will include managing quality assurance and workshop related documentation, including NCR’s and maintaining a culture of quality excellence and guidance in driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance. manage the Quality systems to ensure maintenance and compliance of ISO9001, plan and manage certification activities according to AS 3800 and manage compulsory regulatory requirements.
Assist in the regulatory certification requirements ensuring supply of compliant equipment for use in NSW underground mines in conjunction with the Certification Engineers.
Establish Quality Standards, drive processes to ensure all products and services meet the required customer specifications and company standards. Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final output.
Implement Quality Assurance Processes and Policy. Contribute to the development and delivery of policy initiatives on quality assurance.
Perform Quality Audits and Reviews, improve site processes through the effective resolution of issues (internally and externally) and by continuously improving the existing systems, utilising the audit program. Provide auditing, inspection.
Provide strong and effective stakeholder communication with key internal and external stakeholders, contributing to the integrity and effectiveness of the QA system and data for a variety of competing technical tasks.
Promote a Quality Culture, continuously embedding the Quality philosophy.

About You
Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
Strong understanding of Quality systems
Experience with equipment in underground Coal Mines
Working knowledge of Electrics, Hydraulics, Mechanics and Fabrication terminology.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Strong logical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Highly desirable to have a Trade Qualification (Mechanical/Electrical/Fabrication/Engineering)
