About the Company
A government organisation in the Hunter region is seeking a community-focused professional to support the delivery of their environmental and sustainability initiatives. The organisation is committed to driving positive change across the region through practical, community-based programs.
About the Role
This fixed term contract is available as the current staff member steps into a secondment supporting another internal project. In this role, you will help deliver a range of sustainability and education programs, working closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders to support environmental outcomes for the local area.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and support local sustainability initiatives and education campaigns
Engage with internal teams, community partners, and external stakeholders
Develop and share content to raise awareness of sustainability initiatives
Monitor and report on progress against project goals
Assist with preparing funding applications and project updates
About You
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Confident working across different teams and with community groups
Strong organisational and data management capabilities
An interest in environmental or community-based projects is a bonus, but not essential
A natural connector who enjoys bringing people together
Eager to learn and grow your understanding of sustainability practices
